I Just Want You To Know That You Deserve The Best

Hello! This is the last installment of this week's series on The Sing Off. Tonight's post is from this season, and it is Delilah performing Lil Wayne's song How To Love. I'll admit that every now and then I get into a Lil Wayne mood, but it doesn't happen often. I will reassure however that this performance resembles him in no way and it is just phenomenal. This performance has been one of my favorites to see and listen to on Spotify over and over again.

Delilah is a group of all girls. Some of them are from groups that performed in previous seasons and didn't make it. I think it is safe to say that they have been my favorite group on the show out of all three seasons. Anyways, as I mentioned before they bring a new twist to Lil Wayne's song in this performance. They keep it clean and leave out the sketchy verses along with bringing a true emotion to the song that Lil Wayne can't portray. Listening to girls belt out the bridge, you can tell there is a pain and a meaning behind it that they feel. It's so hard to describe. It is full of really strong lyrics. My favorite is the line, "I just want you to know that you deserve the best, baby you're beautiful." Alright, well I will stop rambling now. The video is great, so check it out here and I hope that you enjoy it!

Talk to you soon!

A Girl Like You Is A Dream Come True

My second pick for the Sing Off series this week is actually from last night's episode of the show! It is of the group Vocal Point. VP is a group of guys from BYU, a university in Utah and is one of the largest religious universities in the nation. The group has performed pretty well up to this point, but this performance was one of, if not THE best that they have pulled off. They did a cover of Bobby Brown's song Every Little Step.

This performance made it on my list because of the different parts and roles they each have and how they fit together so well. It is exactly what a cappella should be in my opinion. Plus the percussionist's solo is absolutely sick! Check it out and you will see what I mean!

Don't forget to check back tomorrow to see what my favorite Sing Off performance is, as well as what is to come on the blog! Love you guys and hope you are having a great start to your week!

She's A Looker, Don't Stand A Chance

Here's the deal. I am currently addicted to the show The Sing Off. For those of you who have never seen it or even heard of it, it is pretty much the a cappella American Idol. It is a competition of many groups of musicians that use only their voices, percussion and all. It is pretty sick! I know a lot of people may not like it, but if you aren't totally disgusted by it then keep giving it a chance. It may grow on you.

Well, now that that is said. I have decided to do a three part series on my favorite performances from The Sing Off. Today's pick comes from the first episode of last season (Season 2). It is the group Pitch Slapped's performance of Good Girls Go Bad which is originally done by Cobra Starship. I would like to point out that I don't particularly like the lyrics of the song, but there is one part where they split the guys and girls and do gang vocals in the performance and it is really stinking cool. Here is the video, I hope that you enjoy it!
